Mail, Cards, and a ... Bulldozer?
It's always a great adventure to get mail at our house. It is an especially great day when J gets mail. Last week J got two cards in one day and it was AWESOME!!! One had an Easter Bunny on it from "Sandi" and the other had a Bulldozer carrying an "essa egg" on it from Grandpa Gary and Donna. The one from Grandpa also had a "credit card" gift certificate which J was super duper excited about.

We went to AC Moore on Saturday with our coupon and J's "credit card" and he got to pick out a Thomas train for his collection. I called it and was right!!! He picked Byron the bulldozer to take home with him. He even carried the bulldozer, coupon, and credit card to the cashier all by himself and paid too. It was so cute and the cashier was definitely in love ;)

Feeding the Wild Beast
When Jumpin' J goes to Grandma Laurie's house he gets to feed Grandma's kitty, Sally. It is a very important job and he makes sure he does it carefully. He carries the cup in two hands from the big bin to Sally Kitty's dish.

Then pours the food into the dish.

And he's so good he even picks up the ones he spills and puts those in too.

Sally Kitty loves Jumpin' J!!

Cooking with Daddy
One of Jumpin' J's favorite activities is helping his Daddy cook, especially blueberry pancakes. J gets to pour and mix and sometimes flip with a little help!

Packages for J
If anyone was wondering how to make J the happiest little boy in the world the answer is simple.... send him a package in the mail. It doesn't matter what's in it as long as his name is on the outside and it's for HIM!

For Valentine's Day Grandpa Gary and Donna sent him a package which he carefully carried back home from the mailbox in two hands as instructed and then proceeded to open. The clothes inside, which were cute, were really of no interest to him but he kept talking about his "package" for days!

Cool Dudes
When Jumpin' J first put on a pair of sunglasses I told him what a "cool dude" he was and thus they are no longer sunglasses in our house they are Cool Dudes! J's had a couple of pairs of cool dudes in his young life but just recently would he actually leave them on for any length of time. And he is just such a cool dude wearing them, don't you think?

Reward for Patience
On Tuesday Grandma Laurie, Jumpin' J, and I went to the Wrentham outlets to do a little shopping. I promised J that if he was good he could ride a car. He is quite content just sitting in it and driving, which saves me some change. Since he was such a good boy he got to ride on ALL of the cars as we walked back to our car, I think there were 20 of them... to highlight a few he rode a bull, a couple of race cars, a couple bulldozers, a digger, a helicopter, and even a hot dog truck! Here are a few pics!!!

And a little clip of the fun!!!

Choo Choo to Target
The Target toy catalog came in the Sunday paper this week and Jumpin' J has been having a blast reading his new "book". He really likes the page with all the Thomas trains on it to "choo choo" at and the page with the big dino on it so he can roar!!! It's great to see the pure enjoyment he gets from just looking at the pictures!

Crazy Hats
I know that I am blessed with a child that likes to wear hats. His Red Sox hat is, of course, his favorite. But he has a bunch of different hats in his toy box and he often takes them out to put them on. We have a blue bucket hat with a car on it, a red baseball hat with flaps, a couple of knitted hats, and I'm not sure what else. Personally I like hats too as does J's dad so it's really no surprise that J does. For your viewing pleasure:
Here is one he wanted to wear in the car the other day. It was knitted by Pop's girlfriend when he was a newborn but still fits now.

And a crazy Patriots one he tried on in a local store. He's actually looking at another hat while I was taking the pic!

A Table and Chair All For Me?!?!
On Monday night I went to an auction and came home with a nice sturdy little wooden table for Jumpin' J to use to play on. And as I was driving home I remembered that we had a little wooden chair in our basement that used to be mine. I just knew that he would be so excited. So I washed them off and set them up in the living room.
Tuesday morning he noticed them when we were coming down the stairs from his room and he got soooo excited! He ran right over and tried them out. It's so much fun to see him excited about things like this. It reminds me that it's the little things in life we need to appreciate!

Die-Hard Playgrounders
It's getting cold but Jumpin' J doesn't care. J loves playgrounds so much that I think we may be going even in the snow. Guess I'll have to get some furry boots. Friday we met up with a couple of WMM moms to go to the playground in Millbury. J and his fellow die-harder, Braden, were totally psyched to get to play. Here's an action shot on the tire swing! They were totally wobbly when they got off, too funny!!!

Mud mud mud mud
Oh the joys of mud when you are a small child. Can you even fathom the vast possibilities that mud brings into your life? Jumpin' J found that mud is really good at keeping your bum slippery on slides when we were at the playground on Friday.
From the slides....
To the merry go round with the big kids...
To the mud puddle...
To the tire swing with the big kids...

To the merry go round alone....

To the mud puddle again...

And then back to the slides!!!

Kindergarten Bus
The highlight of our day most days is going outside to wait for the afternoon kindergarten bus. Our neighbor, Trouble 1, is now in kindergarten so J gets to play with her and her sister along with the other kids. There are many stories about me as a little girl wanting to ride the bus and I can see that there will be similar stories about Jumpin' J in the next couple of years to come!
