Yesterday was supposed to be opening day for the Red Sox so we all wore our gear to get revved up! Unfortunately it rained but Jumpin' J has lots of Red Sox clothes so we'll just get out another outfit for him to wear today! Here he practicing to be a power hitter!

On to Football Season

September and October are incredibly filled with sports because this is the time when the Red Sox's and Patriots' seasons overlap! Unfortunately with the Red Sox's loss to the Devil Rays last night, booooo, the baseball season is over for this year! And so we move on quite willingly to football! Fortunately Jumpin' J likes to "Touchdown Patriots" as much as he did "Yeah Red Sox" so we are all set! Here he is getting geared up for the Pats game tonight!!!

Game 7 Here We Come

Jumpin' J wore his Red Sox sweatsuit, socks, and hat all day today to cheer on his favorite team. But since he had to go to bed before the game started we made sure he was properly attired for the night. He wore Daddy's Red Sox hat while brushing his teeth...

Wore a Red Sox onsie under his pjs and a Red Sox t-shirt over them....

And read one of his Red Sox books before bed, again while wearing Daddy's hat!

Yeah Red Sox

Yesterday the whole Jumpin' Family went to see the Red Sox play the Toronto Blue Jays. It was a great day for a game and we all had a marvelous time.

We got tickets to the 3rd Base Pavilion Standing Room so there was room for Jumpin' J to run around for a while. He ate his first Fenway frank and charmed everyone around us.

Jumpin' J helped to sing God Bless America and Take Me Out to the Ballgame. Plus he danced to all the other songs they played. It was a great day!

Red Sox on the 4th of July

Jumpin' J, his dad, and I joined the LilyPad Family for a Red Sox-Yankees game on the 4th of July at Yankee Stadium. What can be more American to do on the 4th but to go to a baseball game?

Yankee Stadium is closing after this season and opening a new park right across the street so was awesome to get to sit right on field level in the outfield for J's first and last game in this stadium. Plus the seats are between the outfield and the visitor's warm up pitching area so we got to see everyone go by to pitch!!

Trip to the Ocean

Jumpin J', J's dad, and I went to visit the LilyPad Family at Pop Steve's beach house on Tuesday night. It was a great time, so great that we forgot the camera most of the time!

Our time at the beach was super fun despite the incident where I dropped the coffee pot and broke it, Sorry!!! Jumpin' J loved the beach and the park and generally just hanging out with LP, whom he thinks is just the coolest big girl he's ever met. Thanks to the LilyPad Family and Pop Steve for letting us come visit!!

I'll try to post about the Red Sox-Yankees game tonight or tomorrow!

Going to the Beach and a Red Sox Game

Tonight when Jumpin' J's dad gets home from work we're leaving to go to CT to the beach for a couple of days. We're staying at Pop Steve's house which he is kindly letting us invade. Pop Steve is one of our friend LilyPad Princess' grandpas. Here is a picture of PopSteve, Jumpin' J, and LilyPad Princess last July!


Then on the Fourth of July we are going with LilyPad Princess and her mom and dad to a Red Sox vs. Yankees game at Yankee Stadium! It will be J's first and last game there since they are closing it at the end of this season and building a brand new park. We get great tickets when we go with the LilyPad Family so it should be a really fun game.

Jumpin' J and his dad are all set for another run at the World Series Championship!!! Today is the home opener. Jumpin' J is all dressed for the occasion, from his head to his feet!I think the sox worked for the Sox because they won!!!!

Red Sox Opening Day

The Red Sox played the Oakland A's in Japan this morning for their season opener. Jumpin' J and his dad got up early to catch some of the game together before J's dad had to go to work.

Jumpin' J wore his Samurai Spirit Japan shirt and his Red Sox hat to show his support. It must have worked because the Red Sox won in extra innings!!
